| In English, we were talking about protagonist, downfall, and overall, tragedy. That is when the story was brought up. A man got laid-off from the lack of jobs currently, so he decided to kill his family, the suicided. Do you guys think there was any other possible way? (Even if there are probably over 10 different possible endings) What do you think? (: | |

| Well, some people have a low mental capacity and when something happens, they just lose it. I'm sure there could have been many possibilities that would have mended his life, but I guess he wasn't willing to try.
Everyone has hard times, if it were me in his shoes, I'd pick up a job at WalMart or some shit to keep my family living until another opporunity comes around. Sometimes situations like that get close and most people might act in a way out of fear for losing all they have.
What he did to his family was a little... overboard. :/

| Well, Zach, there are many things that our government is hiding from us, and most likely one thing is the cure for cancer.
If someone were to release that cure, not only would we start to overpopulate, but all those treatments for cancer would be obolished, resulting in millions of dollars being lost.

| lols, most politicians/government officials care about two things being themselves and money. not many actually care about what the people want/think, though some try and play it off like they do *cough* bush *cough* | |

| The talk from suicidal guy to cancer. Haha, I love it.
Anyways, he just couldn't stand the thought of his family being poor. He could be acting selfish, or selfless, depends on your point of view.
And overall, I don't think all politicians are like that. We are all human, and make mistakes. And Bush... well, I guess its hard to be President. I don't blame him for what is happening (or going to happen) to the United States, since We The People, voted for him.

| We the people may have voted for him but we the people didn't, never have, and most likely never will have the power to put the president into office. ;D
Amazing, the shield of fake democracy we have.

| Their not supposed to. They can vote for whomever they feel should be president. The popular vote is just so that we have an attempt to sway their opinion. The electorals usually go by what we say because we are America. We are what America consists of, so to please it's people, their going to vote for majority. However, on some rare occasions, most will believe otherwise because they all so happen to be more educated than half of America and they feel that the other candidate would be better. | |

| I think the Electorial (Spelled right?) College has more than half a brain to think for themselves, and evaluate what is better the for nation. (: Not the choose-whatever-anyone-else-chooses-kind of deal, ya know? | |

| Indeed, Thi. The point of the Electoral Collage is to make the educated vote, since, especially at the time (thought arguably not much has changed) the masses were dully uninformed and unfit to make such large decisions.
We didn't even have the power to vote in senators until 1913.
